ArtKaroo: home of authentic Karoo fine art, with whom artists from the Karoo, inspired by the Karoo have exhibited and congregated since 2007, is now host to the online ArtKaroo Gallery; the ArtKaroo art collection; is a venue for pop up exhibitions; houses ArtKaroo Stay apartments, and is also an artist’s home and studio.

Even as the wheels of change turn & some things slow down, other opportunities arise… ArtKaroo was never, nor intended to be, a static gallery or a simple commercial space. Evolvement has always been part of our journey as we endeavour to stay true to our authenticity and creativity.

Initially housed in the CBD, ArtKaroo has provided the community of greater Oudtshoorn and visitors with regular curated exhibitions and other more ad lib creative events over the years. Although less frequent, exhibitions still occur, and art lovers can still access the ArtKaroo space by appointment: to see the gallery; book a few nights in her rustic cottages (non-artists welcome too!) or well in advance to do a workshop.
